Croy Primary added to school safety route following consultation with parents and carers
CROY Primary School has been added to the Safer Routes to School programme for this year Croy and Culloden Community Councillors have been told.
At a recent meeting members heard consultations had taken place between the school and parents and carers of children.
A report is now being prepared to progress initiatives and the council agreed to help with a community consultation for future plans. The initiative follows an email by Moray Estates and Highland Council Road Safety Team about the transport network. This will lead to an update of the School Travel Plan and has the support of the headteacher and school council.
Moray Estates meanwhile has committed to remedying the lower section of a footpath closest to Tornagrain which suffered surface damage.
Improvements will coincide with path improvements in Lochandinty Woods.
It is expected to be confirmed soon that a new drop-off point for Croy Primary will be provided off Dalcroy Road.
