Highland mental health charity Mikeysline delighted at £5400 donation from Tulloch Homes as part of Cup Of Kindness fundraising initiative
A Highland house building company raised more than £5,400 for a local mental health charity after embarking on a three-month fundraising campaign.
As part of the ‘Cup of Kindness’ challenge, Tulloch Homes employees engaged in various fundraising activities in support of Mikeysline after being nominated by legal firm, Wright, Johnson and Mackenzie LLP, in December last year.
Coinciding with Tulloch’s 100th anniversary celebrations, employees have held raffles, bake sales and dress down days to raise money.
The dedicated team also took part in a 500-miles walking challenge, and nearly doubled their target by achieving 1079 miles, boosting their own mental wellbeing by encouraging an active lifestyle in the fresh air.
The Springfield Group — of which Tulloch Homes is part — donated an extra £2,500 bringing the final total to £5,470.28.
Managing director of Tulloch Homes, Kieran Graham, said: “We are so proud to have been part of the Cup of Kindness campaign and kickstarting our 100th year of business by supporting such a crucial local charity.
“As keen advocates of Mikesyline, we understand how important their work in addressing the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide is throughout our communities in the North of Scotland. We are pleased we have been able to contribute to the charity to allow them to support local people who need it most.”
Bee the Change Manager, Allana Stables, said: “Kindness and community is a huge part of what Mikeysline is all about and we are overjoyed with the incredible amount raised by the team at Tulloch Homes.
“As a grassroots charity which receives no statutory funding, every penny is so important to ensuring we can provide our lifeline services to people of all ages and genders throughout the Highlands, Islands and Moray.”
