One of Inverness’s longest-running entertainment venues is celebrating a remarkable milestone—Inverness Rollerbowl is marking 35 years of bringing joy, fun, and unforgettable memories to the Highlands.
Opening its doors in 1990, Rollerbowl made history as the first bowling centre in the Highlands. Decades later, it remains a cornerstone of family entertainment, community spirit, and local hospitality.

“This year marks a major milestone for us at Rollerbowl – we're celebrating 35 incredible years of strikes, spares, and unforgettable memories!” said Shahid Yusaf, owner of Inverness Rollerbowl.
The venue stands out as a rare success story in the local hospitality scene.
“We’ve been around for 35 years, and if you look around Inverness, there really isn’t another hospitality venue that’s lasted this long,” Yusaf said.
“I think it’s an amazing achievement for us.”
Over the years, Rollerbowl has hosted everything from birthday parties and league nights to casual games and community fundraisers. And even as the years tick by, the team has kept the centre fresh and welcoming.
“When the pandemic hit, we knew we had to adapt,” said Yusaf.
“We invested half a million pounds into refurbishing the building. We gave the front a facelift, replaced carpets, and remodelled the space to the best of our ability. It’s a big building, and with that comes big costs—but it was worth it.”
The key to Rollerbowl’s success? A simple but powerful formula: hard work, good service, and a loyal customer base.
“We’ve been lucky to have incredible support from the community,” said Yusaf.
“Some of our staff have been with us since day one—35 years—and that’s a testament to the kind of family we’ve built here. We currently employ 20 people, making us a significant local employer as well.”
To celebrate this milestone and thank the community, Rollerbowl is offering a range of special deals:
