Latest Kidical Mass Inverness cycling event makes point and raises awareness of the barriers people face to cycling safely
Young cyclists in Inverness joined riders across Europe over the weekend as part of continuing calls to make streets safer for everyone.
The latest Kidical Mass Inverness outing saw parents and children take to their bikes to raise awareness of the barriers people face to cycling safely.
According to organisers, there were 110 bicycles on the weekend outing, along with three trikes and seven trailers.
John Davidson, convener of Highland Cycle Campaign, said: “It was a great turnout at Kidical Mass on Saturday and everyone seemed to be having a good time.
“There’s a growing demand to make our streets safer for everyone who uses them, especially for children, and the event is a really visible way of getting that message across in a positive way.”
Participants were joined by around 200 groups across Europe cycling out en masse on the same day.
