Inverness Morrisons supermarket car park to return to pay-and-display, Highland shoppers and motorists warned

Shoppers and motorists using a major Inverness supermarket are being warned that pay-and-display is coming back.

Morrisons has warned that its Inverness city centre car park will revert back to pay-and-display from next week.

As of Monday, drivers will be charged £1 for an hour, £2 for two hours or £4 for three hours in the car park.

Speaking on Morrisons’ Inverness community champion Facebook page, a spokesperson said: "[The] car park will still be a maximum stay of three hours but the parking meters will be back in operation and you registration and payment must be entered to prevent a fine being issued.

"Tickets will be redeemable instore against your shopping." £1 equals one hour in the car park, redeemable on any purchase [in store]. £2 equals two hours in the car park, [redeemable on a] minimum spend of £15. £4 equals three hours in the car park, minimum spend £50."
