Donations tin for Highland mental health charity stolen
A collection tin for a Highland mental health charity has been stolen from Inverness Victorian Market.
The tin, outside Story Chocolates, has been raising funds for Mikeysline.
In a post on social media, Mikeysline said: "The Victorian Market has been raising funds for us with their Easter competition and entries have been coming in every day for the last week- it was doing really well.
"Entries made before this incident will, of course, still stand.
"We are grateful for all the support Mikeysline enjoys from our next door neighbours at the Victorian Market and their patrons, and so sorry that someone felt the need to do this.
"We’ve replaced the tin and it is now even more securely attached, and the police have been in touch to see what can be done to recover the money lost."
The charity adds: "One bad choice doesn’t define a whole person, though.
"If the perpetrator would like to return the tin (especially as we only have a limited number of them!) it can be left at the front door of the Hive right next to the Market.
"There’s always tomorrow and a chance to make good choices! Be kind to each other, and remember it’s ok not to be ok."
