Dozens of Tesco staff in Inverness face redundancy

MORE than 25 jobs at a Tesco Metro in Inverness are at risk of redundancy as part of a major shake-up being carried out by the supermarket.

It is understood that just under one third of staff at the Tomnahurich Street store were told they had been selected for redundancy last week and they are being offered the chance to relocate to other branches as an alternative.

A Tesco spokesman said: “At the moment all Metro and Extra branches which are affected by the changes are going through colleague consultation processes. Our primary focus is relocation but some colleagues may leave the business.”
