Drag queen night set to take place for Strictly Inverness fundraiser
A Strictly Inverness contestant is hosting a drag evening for one of her fundraisers.
Elisha Gilham (35) is taking part in the annual competition which raises funds for the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.
The ‘unforgettable evening’ will feature ‘fabulous drag queens’ Miss Scarlet Diamonte and Miss Victoria Spongeon on Saturday, March 22 at 7.30pm.
Taking place at the Battlefield Bar and Restaurant, Culloden, tickets priced £30 include a two course meal and welcome drink.
Elisha said it promises to be a night filled with laughter, entertainment and fun.
Speaking about why she’s taking part in this year’s competition which will see her perform on May 16, she said: “This is an incredible chance to take on a new and exciting challenge while supporting two amazing charities.
“I feel like I will be catapulting myself out of my comfort zone for Strictly but it’s all for a good reason!! The Hospice is a vital lifeline for so many in the Highlands, providing care and comfort not only to patients but also to their loved ones.
“As for the Ice Rink, it was a second home to me in my younger years, where I built lifelong friendships. I’d love for other kids to have the same opportunities to create those special memories.”
Aesthetics and skincare practitioner Elisha is also hosting a Race Night on March 29 at Kings Golf Club.
