An initiative aiming to ensure every child experiences the magic of Christmas is set to return to Inverness this weekend.

Volunteers from TFX Performing Arts Academy and Fitkidz will bring back the “Pay it Forward” Grotto Day at Eastgate Shopping Centre, taking place on Friday, December 20.

Working in partnership with the charity Highland Action for Little Ones (HALO), this closed-session event will welcome children who, for various reasons, might not otherwise have the opportunity to visit Santa.

This event follows the success of last year’s grotto initiative, with families attending this invitation-only experience will be able to enjoy time with Santa and make cherished Christmas memories for all.

Mel Thomson, a representative from HALO, said: “Christmas is a time of magic, and every child deserves to feel that sparkle, no matter their circumstances.

“The Pay it Forward Grotto Day is such a beautiful way to make sure no one is left out. We are so grateful to the Eastgate Centre, TFX, and Fitkidz for bringing this to life and helping us spread Christmas joy.”

Sally Robertson, owner of TFX Performing Arts Academy, said: “At TFX, we believe in creating moments that inspire confidence, happiness, and connection. This event is about giving every child the chance to feel the magic of Christmas, and it’s an honour for our team to be part of such a meaningful day. This is what Christmas is all about.”

To support HALO and its work with families in need, Eastgate Shopping Centre is encouraging donations at the HALO Drop-Off Centre with contributions of toys, clothing, or essential items - which can help ensure every child feels the joy of Christmas this year.
