PICTURES: Eastgate centre's festive calendar begins with afternoon of toy testing for 'elves-in-training'
Families joined in on an exciting afternoon of toy testing at the Eastgate in Inverness yesterday in the first of a series of activities planned this festive season.
"Elves-in-training" took part in the "Toy Testing Bonanza" using toys supplied by The Entertainer, taking an opportunity to explore the latest and greatest toys, gadgets, and games.
The hands-on, interactive experience produced smiles and laughter throughout, as toy enthusiasts set out to discover the perfect gift for this holiday season.
Chris Kershaw, Centre Manager at Eastgate, said: "We were thrilled to kick off the festive season at Eastgate with an exciting and playful activity – Toy Testing!
"This event was just the beginning of a series of festive activities we have planned for our visitors. We look forward to hosting a season filled with magical moments and a shopping experience that captures the essence of the holidays.

The centre’s busy events calendar will continue with Santa's Grotto – set to begin on November 25 with booking available live on the Eastgate website.
Grotto goers will be invited to step into a world of wonder as Santa's Grotto opens its doors to children of all ages.
Meet the man in red himself, Mrs Claus with their team of elves and share your Christmas wishes. The Grotto is adorned with festive decorations, creating a magical atmosphere that will leave you and your family enchanted.
Next weekend will also see the return of Inverness's Christmas lights switch-on event.
Ness Factor winner Joanne Ross, from Dingwall, and Highland Voices Gospel Choir are set to perform as part of activities including a service round the Hospice Christmas Tree in Falcon Square on Sunday, November 26.

They festive lights will be turned on by Highland Council at 4.30pm to top off a day of events provided by Eastgate Shopping Centre, Highland Hospice and Culloden Rotary Club.
Inverness's Miss Scotland winner Chelsie Allison will switch on the lights for the hospice tree, she has been fundraising for the charity ahead of her appearance at Miss World next year.
