Emergency services attend two car crash on old A9

FIREFIGHTERS freed one person after a two car collision on the outskirts of the city tonight. (Wed)
The accident happened aboput 4.20pm on the old A9 Inverness to Beauly road just north of Clachnaharry railbridge.
It is not known if the car occupants were injured in the crash, but ambulance and police also attended.
The road was blocked during rush hour, forcing lengthy detours for many
via the Kessock Bridge.
A fire service spokeswoman said two tenders and the heavy rescue unit were sent to the crash scene.
