Inverness fire crews put out house fire





Firefighters were called to a house fire in Inverness last night.
Firefighters were called to a house fire in Inverness last night.

Emergency services were called to a fire at a house in Inverness last night.

It happened at a mid-terrace property in Wyvis Place in the city’s Merkinch area.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three appliances from Inverness to the scene after the alarm was raised at 6.44pm.

Fire crews used hose reel jets, a main jet and breathing apparatus.

The fire was reported to be out at 8.21pm.

Police officers were also present at the scene.

It is not known whether anyone was injured.

Police Scotland has been contacted for more information.
