A long-established interior design and furnishing shop in Inverness is set to close with the owners announcing their retirement.

Alastair and Eileen Cullen, who have run Parasol Interiors for 38 years, thanked their many customers in a post on social media.

The shop is based in the Smithton Industrial Estate.

The post states: “We are no longer taking new orders and are slowly winding down.

“The showroom will be open until the end of the month with sale items and we will complete all outstanding orders.

“We would like to thank our many customers, old and new, for their custom over the years.”

There was praise for the couple in messages posted by customers who described the service as “fabulous” while one person said it marked the end of an era.
