Essential road surfacing work to begin on A82 near Loch Ness
Motorists are being advised of a second phase of essential surfacing improvements on the A82 north of Drumnadrochit.
Work by BEAR Scotland is set to start on Tuesday November 26.
The project will see a section of the trunk road between Drumnadrochit and Inverness resurfaced, creating a smoother and safer road for motorists.

Due to the nature of the works, it will be necessary to close the A82 north of Drumnadrochit each night from 8pm to 6am between Tuesday November 26 and Thursday December 5.
To protect the workforce and members of the public, the road will be closed with amnesties offered at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 2am and 4am.
No work will take place on Friday and Saturday nights.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.

“The overnight closures are essential to ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists.

Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using SEPA approved methods.
