The lure of a Highland castle seen weekly by millions of avid reality TV viewers is proving addictive to some of its best known, if temporary, inhabitants.

Both the UK version of hit reality TV show The Traitors and its US counterpart, currently being screened on BBC and iPlayer, are filmed at Ardross Castle near Alness.

The joint winner of the most recent Claudia Winkleman-hosted UK version, Leanne Quigley, revealed afterwards that she would love to get married at Ardross Castle.

Leanne (28) split the £94,600 prize with fellow Faithful Jake Brown after the tense finale.

The straight-talking former army officer, who pretended to be a nail technician during the series, plans to use her winnings to fund her dream wedding with partner Sophie Jones.

She admitted afterwards that getting married at Ardross Castle itself would be “so iconic”.

She made her remarks in an interview with MailOnline.

She said: “I actually looked at the castle because I didn’t realise you could get married there. That would be so iconic.”

Ardross Castle describes itself as the venue “where wedding fairytales really do come true”.

Couples “can hire the parts of the castle and grounds that you need to make your day a spectacular success”. The Great Hall at Ardross Castle can cater for up to 130 guests.

Prospective users are told: “Your wedding ceremony can be indoors or outdoors depending on the delights of the Scottish weather.

“Whether yours is a civil or religious marriage you bring along the Registrar or Celebrant of your choice. Indoors, we can hold your ceremony in The Great Hall and outdoors, we have beautiful grounds, and the formal gardens make a fabulous setting.”

And she said she would invite her Traitors castmates to the wedding.

The castle also gets another high-profile screening on one of the new Glenmorangie film adverts featuring Hollywood legend Harrison Ford.
