Inverness Festival Association committee said: “The 2025 Inverness Music Festival came to a close with a fantastic afternoon of music. We began the final day with our open choir event with Ardersier Forte and Mellow Yellow who gave such beautiful performances.

“After this, we had our premier event which had such a brilliant range of music. A huge congratulations to Emma Cameron who won the Elizabeth Davies Quaich for best traditional performance and Eilidh Fisher who won the Curtis Craig Cup for best classical performance.

“Overall, the entire committee would like to thank everyone involved in making the festival the success it was. It is a long list, so here goes: To our volunteers, adjudicators, accompanists, the Methodist Church, The Waterfront restaurant, friends of Highland Music, the Music Shop, the Inverness Rotary Club, Moray Firth Pianos, Park Community Council, Inverness Central Ward discretionary fund and most of all our entrants, teachers and supporters - without you there would be no festival!

“As for the future, we ended today with optimism that we will secure the funds necessary to run the festival in 2026, so watch out for updates in the next couple of months! Thank you all again for your continued support!”

Among the many winners from the second week of the festival were two Invergordon Academy pupils. Invergordon Academy said: “Congratulations to our pupils Sam and Shaun who won the Inverness Music Festival Senior Debating Class with their fantastic speeches. Superb debating from all the teams, and special mention to Emma and Cameron who coolly stood in to do an impromptu second debate with only five minutes notice! Excellent effort team Invergordon.”
