Farmers to debate pros and cons of independence
National Farmers Union for Scotland will host a panel of high-profile speakers in Dingwall this month.
The independence roadshow is open to all voters with an agricultural interest.
The debate, hosted by NFUS Highland region at Dingwall Mart, will be chaired by Highland regional board chairman, Jim Whiteford.
Speaking in support of Scottish independence will be Richard Lochhead MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Environment, and speaking to keep Scotland within the United Kingdom will be George Eustice MP, Minister for Farming, Food and Marine Environment.
Regional representatives and local farmers for both campaigns will talk share their perspective on the question of independence.
Mr Whiteford said: "I look forward to hearing a range of questions and concerns from the floor on the night, and encourage as many Highland-based folk to attend as possible, so they can address the issues that matter most to them in the referendum."
The debate will take place on Wednesday 23rd July, at 6.30pm for 7pm in Dingwall Mart, Humberston, Bailechaul Road, Dingwall.
