Inverness fashion show organised by the Black Isle branch of Cancer Research raises £5000

An annual charity fashion show held at the Jurys Inn in Inverness honoured a Highland hairdresser who lost her own battle with cancer.

Maria Ross had devoted hours of her time making models taking part in the fundraiser look and feel their best.

With this year's show held as a tribute to her, models from across the Highlands strutted their stuff on the catwalk in a supportive atmosphere.

Jenna MacLean (10), who has battled blood cancer, was a star turn alongside fellow Inverness-based sufferer Carolyn Fea, with whom she struck up a friendship.

It was compered by Highland businesswoman and councillor Carolyn Wilson and supported by a number of businesses and volunteers.
