FIREFIGHTERS were called out to deal with a fire in a hedge in the Drummond area of Inverness on Monday night.

One unit extinguished the flames with a hose reel jet but not before about 20 square metres of the garden hedge in Burn Road was destroyed.

The alarm was raised about 9.08pm. The fire service said they did not know how the fire started, and police reported there was no threat to property and no one was injured.
