Glenferness wildfire sparks call out for Scottish Fire and Rescue crews from Nairn, Forres and Grantown-on-Spey

Fire crews from multiple stations battled a wildfire in Glenferness into the evening last night.

Five appliances, including ones from Nairn, Grantown-on-Spey and Forres, were called out to the moorland blaze at around 4pm on Thursday. Change crews were also deployed as the incident carried on.

The blaze was finally extinguished in the late evening, with fire crews departing the scene after 10.41pm.
