Air passengers travelling from Inverness to one of Europe's hub airports were facing disruption on Sunday after cancellations ir delays to several KLM flights.

The carrier's 10.10am arrival at Inverness Airport from Amsterdam Schiphol was confirmed as cancelled by Highlands and Islands Airports, which operates the airport.

And the 10.55am departure from Inverness to Amsterdam was also cancelled.

Elsewhere, KLM's early morning flight did depart Inverness for Amsterdam Schiphol, but it was more than two hours late - only taking off at 8.31am, well beyond the planned 6.25am departure time.

However, despite these delays and cancellations the operator's planned arrival into Inverness late tonight was still scheduled to operate at the time of writing, with KLM flight 0907 due to arrive on time at 10.15pm.
