Former site of award-winning Woolly Sheep shop in Inverness looks set for new occupant
A vacant Inverness store left empty earlier this summer after an award-winning wool shop moved its business online looks set for a new occupant.
Fans of The Woolly Sheep wool shop in the city's Tomnahurich Street were dealt a blow back in June when the store announced it would be closing its doors in early July as it was "just not financially feasible to keep the bricks and mortar shop open".
Although the owners were sad to close the store it was not the end for the business, which continues to operate online – and many loyal customers vowed to continue to buy their wools from the company's online portal.
Its owners are also continuing with the likes of "craft destash" events and sales, with the next set to take place in Ardersier's War Memorial Hall on Sunday, September 3 from 1pm to 4.30pm.

But although The Woolly Shop is continuing in other guises, its move out of Tomnahurich Street left a question hanging over the future of its former base.
And those appear to have now been answered after signs for a new occupant were erected on the shop's frontage.
Bookkeeper Shamrock Mac Ltd appears to be getting ready to move in soon.
On the newly-redecorated shop front, it advertises a range of services – including bookkeeping, tax returns, VAT returns, payroll, monthly reports and invoicing.
Shamrock Mac took to social media on August 4 to announce: "We have exciting news to share, Shamrock Mac has a new home, more details coming soon..."
Although they did not reveal the location of their new base, the presence of the signage in Tomnahurich Street suggests this will be their new home.
