Fort George celebrates the centuries with Scottish history reenactment 'spectacular'

Fort George near Inverness saw the return of the popular Celebration of the Centuries spectacular this weekend.

The Highland fortress was brought to life by re-enactors depicting over two thousand years of Scottish history.

The two-day historical event is one of Scotland’s largest historical re-enactment events and a key part of Historic Environment Scotland’s (HES) summer events programme, featuring the viking era up to the first and second world wars.

The event will also be taking place tomorrow, Sunday August 13 from 11am - 5pm.
