Heating problems result in ‘short notice’ closure of Nairn primary and nursery

A primary school and primary nursery are both closed in Nairn today, after reports of a heating issue at the school.

Highland Council confirmed the closure of both Millbank Primary and Millbank Primary Nursery on its school closures website, with almost 250 primary children affected.

Millbank Primary apologised for the short notice of the closure on social media.

A statement on Millbank Primary’s Facebook page, shared at 8.18am, read: “Good morning, sorry for the short notice but we are going to have to close the school today as we now have no heating.”
