A HIGHLAND charity committed to supporting survivors of sexual violence across the region has been chosen as Highland Business Women’s Charity of the Year.

Established in 2014, Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland (RASASH) provides specialised support to those aged 13 and over who have been affected by sexual violence in the Highlands, as well as carrying out prevention work and collaborative partnerships.

As a result of the charity’s essential work, Highland Business Women (HBW) has chosen RASASH as their 2025 Charity of the Year. Throughout the year, the two organisations say they will work closely together to raise awareness of RASASH’s services and initiatives, as well as generating essential funds to support their work.

Eilidh Little, RASASH's communications and fundraising worker said: "We are absolutely delighted to be named Highland Business Women Charity of the Year for 2025. This recognition not only validates the vital work we do but also emphasises the importance of being championed by a network of powerful and supportive women across the Highlands. We look forward to collaborating with HBW to further our mission and continue to make a meaningful impact in our community."

HBW’s charity ambassador, Iris Thompson-Burton said: "We are thrilled that our members have chosen RASASH as HBW's Charity of the Year. We are incredibly excited to work alongside this inspiring organisation, whose dedication to supporting survivors of sexual violence aligns perfectly with our values, of inspiring and supporting women. Together, we look forward to making a significant impact to the charity throughout the coming year."
