A series of stoppages have been announced by the RMT union over the festive period.
As part of its ongoing dispute with Network Rail the RMT union has announced 48-hour stoppages on December 13-14 and 16-17 as well as shortly after the new year period, from January 6-7.
The walk-outs, if they go ahead, will be just the latest in a running series of strikes mounted by the union over pay, working conditions and job security.
The RMT said the latest strike action would send "a clear message" that workers want a better deal.
Its members at Network Rail and 14 train companies voted last week in favour of further walkouts.
The RMT said there would also be an overtime ban from December 18 to January 2.
