A woodturning club based on the Black Isle is hosting an open day to raise money for a defibrillator for their club house.
The event, hosted by the Highland Woodturners Club, will take place on Saturday, August from 10am to 4pm at the Munlochy Hall, where the club is based.
The open day is free entry and includes woodturning demonstrations, turned items on sale and craft stalls as well as tea and coffee.

Attendees can have the unique opportunity to learn about the craft of woodturning and meet members of the club whilst raising money for a potentially life-saving defibrillator.
Highland Woodturning Club member Susan Malcolm said that in addition to fundraising, the club wanted to “promote the art and craft of woodturning, which sadly isn't as popular a craft in modern days. We are hoping the event will attract some interest in our craft and possibly new members.”
