The history of the RNLI and the lifesaving charity's Loch Ness lifeboat station were highlighted to a local group during a visit last week.

The RNLI Loch Ness lifeboat station hosted a visit from the Glenurquhart Heritage Group on Friday.

Eleven members popped along to hear a talk about the history of the charity and station.

"Our chairman and members of both the fundraising and boat crews were on hand to show them around the station," said an RNLI spokesman.

"It is always a pleasure to share our experience of what we do as a volunteer crew.

"Thank you, Linda Izquierdo Ross for an excellent talk.

"And thank you to the Glenurquhart Heritage Group for taking the time to come and find out more about the history of your local RNLI station."
