Film star Tilda Swinton gives gifts to staff and residents at Whinnieknowe Gardens sheltered accommodation in Nairn during coronavirus crisis

Hollywood film star Tilda Swinton has given goodie bags to Nairn sheltered housing residents and staff.

In a Facebook post Trust Housing Association at Whinnieknowe Gardens thanked the actress, who also lives in the town.

In their message they said: "Oh my gosh! Our very lucky tenants and staff received goodie bags from actress Tilda Swinton, who lives in Nairn, today. I cannot thank her enough for this wonderful gesture."

The post included photographs of Ms Swinton and a friend, Angus, as well as the large collection of bags.

The post added: "A massive thank you to Tilda – what a difference this will make to our tenants."
