Hollywood megastar Chris Hemsworth famed for appearances as Thor in the Avengers films as well as Ghostbusters has given his backing to the Team Hamish campaign in Nairn
Thor actor Chris Hemsworth has donated a pair of signed socks to the local fundraising campaign in memory of inspirational youngster Hamish Hey.
The Avengers superstar, also known for his outings in the recent Ghostbusters reboot and soon to be seen in the next film in the Men in Black franchise, was also snapped wearing a Team Hamish wristband.
A post on the group's Facebook page reads: "We were left somewhat speechless when this parcel arrived.
"Our real life superhero was a HUGE fan of this incredible man.
"We can hardly contain our excitement sharing these photos and signed socks."
Sure to whet the appetites of all fanboys and girls the post adds: "Watch this space to find out more, if you’d like these could be YOURS."
And it concludes: "To quote the man himself 'I wish TeamHamish all the luck in the world.'
The Team Hamish campaign was established to provide a lasting legacy after the death of local youngster Hamish Hey who fought a brave lifelong battle with cancer.
