Home bargains issue ‘urgent recall’ over Easter plushies
HOME Bargains have issued an “urgent recall” over Easter plushies, which may have been stocked in the company’s Highland stores.
Consumer advice organisation Which? issued an urgent recall on behalf of Home Bargains’ Happy Easter Plush Toys earlier today, due to “serious risk of asphyxiation”, also known as suffocation.
Home Bargains have multiple stores across the Highlands and Moray in Inverness, Tain, Dingwall, Aviemore, Nairn and Elgin.
Which? said: “Home Bargains are recalling Happy Easter Plush Toys due to a serious risk of asphyxiation.
“Limbs on the toys can become easily detached, due to the weakness of the seams. As a result, the internal fibrous stuffing material is easily accessible. A child may access the stuffing material and place it in their mouth.
“The 25cm plush toys, which come in three Easter designs – ‘Yellow Chick’, ‘Pink Rabbit’ and ‘White Rabbit’ — have been withdrawn from the market and recalled by Home Bargains. The affected toys have a barcode of 10811016.
“Anyone who has bought any of the Easter plush toys should stop using them immediately and keep out of the reach of children.”
To obtain a full refund, return the toy to your nearest Home Bargains store. For further information, ask in store or visit the Home Bargains help centre.
