Owners of Nairn's Golf View Hotel have announced an £850,000 refurbishment of its spa
The project is part of a wider programme of work by the Crerar Hotel Group across three of its seven four and five-star hotels and inns.
The popular Nairn destination is included in the first phase which will see a total of £4.5 million spent across Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa in Argyll at Bute and the Deeside Inn at Ballater, and the Golf View Hotel and Spa.
The Nairn venue's spa will be renamed 'Coast'.
Plans will see the number of therapy suites doubled as well as the addition of Scotland’s first ‘stone bath’ steam alongside a Himalayan salt therapy room.
‘Coast’ will continue to develop into the summer with the addition of the ‘Beach Hut’ – a private spa experience located close to the beach similar to Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa’s ‘Wilderness Deck’, Beach Hut.
Carolyn Carrington, General Manager of Golf View Hotel & Spa, said: “Investing in Golf View Hotel & Spa means we can offer guests the highest standards and best possible experiences as they take in all that our stunning corner of Scotland has to offer.
“The introduction of Coast will go even further in helping us to showcase the best in authentic Scottish hospitality – which is particularly important as international travel begins to well and truly open up.
“We’re very much looking forward to starting work – and even more so to showing off the results of the refurbishment when it is complete.”
The latest tranche of investment across the three properties takes the Group’s total spend on the portfolio to £10 million over the past 12 months.
The contract for the Golf View starts on January 3, 2022 with a completion date on March 25.
The spa and leisure club will be closed throughout this time however the hotel and restaurant with remain open for residents and non-residents.
