Inverness BID worried of ongoing impact of cost-of-living crisis on city centre after Mexican takeaway's closure
An Inverness business representative said "cost-of-living and cost-of-doing" are still affecting city centre businesses after another small venue was forced to close.
Earlier this week the owner of Los Burrito, a Mexican takeaway at 21 High Street specialising in nachos, burritos and quesadillias, announced with a message on its window that the place was closing down.
The eatery opened only in January taking over what used to be Inverness' Castle Cones premises.
Lorraine Bremner McBride Director of Inverness City Centre Business Improvement District (BID), commented on the news.

She said: "We are really sorry to hear that Los Burrito will be leaving our business community.
"Our thoughts and best wishes are with the owners and team at this time.
"Unfortunately overall the cost-of-living and cost-of-doing business challenges in addition to other pressures remain often hugely impactful meaning it remains a tough time for many households and businesses at present."
