AN Inverness fugitive busker is due to appear in an American courtroom again later this month.
Kim Gordon (55), who is also known as Kim Avis, was last night remanded into custody, where he had been held since his arrest last week, following a court hearing.
A spokeswoman for the US Department of Justice today confirmed that his next court hearing in Denver, Colorado, will be on August 12.
The UK authorities have made a request for extradition.
He is facing 24 charges in Scotland which include five rapes, two cases of child sexual abuse, attempted rape, three sex assaults and four violent attacks.
Gordon is also accused of indecent behaviour towards a girl aged between 12 and 16 and coercing a person into being present during sexual activity, as well as three breach of the peace offences and the charges span a 20-year period from 1997 to 2017.
He was due to face trial at the High Court in Edinburgh on March 11 but the busker and street trader went to the US on holiday a month earlier.
