Blend café in Drummond Street was taken over by Maree Fowler and Seb Wolfe in January after former owner and founder Gemma Taylor decided to sell the business.

Writing on the cafe’s social media channels, they shared the news that a price rise will be introduced from tomorrow (March 27) — adding that the prices at the popular city centre venue had not changed in more than 18 months.

The post read: “To our valued customers — we want to be open and honest with you about an upcoming change.

“As of Thursday 27th March we will be adjusting our prices to reflect the rising costs of everything, ingredients, energy, and general business expenses.

“This is not a decision we've made lightly, but it is essential to ensure we can continue providing the quality coffee, food, and service you love.

“Blend's prices haven't changed in over 18 months, and with inflation, and our commitment to paying our amazing team above minimum wage which is also rising in April, this update is necessary for us to keep delivering the best experience possible.

“We truly appreciate your support and understanding. Thank you for being a part of our journey ~ we couldn't do this without you,”
