Inverness Castle viewpoint a towering success
The Inverness Castle Viewpoint, which first opened its doors over Easter, gives residents and tourists alike a new perspective on the city.
After offering free admission in its first week visitor numbers took a slight dip as soon as admission charges were applied but, according to operators High Life Highland, it’s now more popular than ever.
Figures released this week show growth month on month.
There were 2548 visitors in May, increasing to 3255 in June.
And July is looking set to be even busier. A spokesman for High Life Highland said: “Castle Viewpoint is enjoying a busy summer season with visitor numbers having increased each month since opening.
“We are delighted with the numbers so far and the positive feedback we are receiving from customers,” the spokesman added.
