A BUSY bridge in the heart of Inverness is to close to all pedestrians for three weeks for emergency repairs.

Highland Council has erected a warning sign at the western end of the Greig Street bridge, with work scheduled to start on July 31.

There is no word as to the nature of the repairs that are needed, but a small section of the bridge is partially cordoned off.

The notice sign reads: "This bridge will be closed for three weeks from Monday, July 31, for emergency repairs. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
