Inverness cops grab a cuppa for community chat about safety
Cops dropped in on customers at a busy Inverness coffee stop recently.
As part of wider communication with the community, Police Scotland officers dropped in to chat to anyone who wanted to speak to them at the Starbucks drive through and café in Ivanhoe Avenue.
As well as the coffee stop officers also held a “street surgery” at Inshes Church of Scotland car park in Sir Walter Scott Drive.
The surgery was held in conjunction with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We want to encourage everyone to have an enjoyable and safer summer.
“We offered advice and support in relation to helping reduce the number of deliberately set fires and prevention of fires.
“The event was held to help us in protecting our community by keeping people, highlighting fire, water safety and policing issues that impact our neighbourhood and countryside.”
The spokeswoman added: “If you need to report any crimes or offences please contact 101 or on 999 in an emergency.”
