Inverness golf centre, restaurant and bar reopen after deliberate fire as ‘hearts and thoughts’ go to destroyed businesses

A popular driving range, restaurant and golf course is back open after a huge blaze in its neighbouring premises.

Fairways Golf Centre and Restaurant was closed after the deliberate arson attack at Fairways Business Park in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Several businesses were completely destroyed including, SJ Travel Centre, Scottish Premium Seafoods, a Harry Gow bakery, Hair For Men and Hair Chic hairdressers.

A spokesperson for Fairways Golf Centre and Restaurant said: “Restaurant, Driving Range, Locker Room Sports Bar and Golf Course all back open, we can’t wait to welcome you all back. A day is too long.”

Locker Room Sports Bar also added: “We are officially back open in The Locker Room from 4pm tonight.

“Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding and we look forward to filling the bar with happy faces.

“Our hearts and thoughts go out to all the businesses that have suffered.”
