An Inverness legal practitioner has expanded her skill set and is now offering a range of holistic services.

Jenna Gallacher (29) is a full-time associate solicitor at Thorntons – but during her evenings and weekends, she offers Reiki.

According to Jenna, Reiki can sound like ‘it’s a bit mental’ but it provides ‘non-evasive healing and grounding’ for clients.

It is a Japanese energy-based healing technique.

Having been able to receive Reiki for the first time herself last year, she ‘fell in love with it’ after finding it helped her anxiety like nothing had before.

She said: “I got into Reiki last year and it was life-changing.

“I looked into it and decided to do a course. It can be hands-on on but it still works even if not physically touching the person.

“I had heard of it before and had never really believed it and thought it was a load of rubbish.

“But it was something I don’t think I could explain with science but I know it provides a benefit.”

Jenna is operating her treatments from her home and although May was her first month of opening, it was extremely popular.

“It was a lot busier than I thought it would be,” she said.

“I do Monday and Wednesday evenings alongside a Saturday afternoon.”

She added: “I would just give it a go, especially if you have something emotional and physical going on, as the benefits are huge. Be open-minded about it.

“I had tried everything before for my anxiety and this is the only thing that has helped me.”
