An Inverness long-distance cyclist is hoping to be back on Scottish soil tomorrow.
Alasdair Fraser is hoping to cycle the 1000-mile route between Gdansk in Poland and The Gellions pub in Inverness in aid of the Ukrainian appeal.
By this afternoon he had boarded a ferry which will head towards the north east of England overnight.
In a social media post he said: "That's me done – Gdansk to Port of Amsterdam. The bike and I are safely on the Newcastle ferry."
Today he covered a total distance of 70 miles and he said he wanted to thank everybody for their support.
He is hoping to reach Inverness by Sunday.
