A night of reminiscing is set to take place in Inverness in aid of charity.

The Back to Blue night is set to take place at the Raigmore Motel on April 26 to raise funds for the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.

The event is being organised by Billy Young and Kellyann McFarlane who are taking part in this year’s Strictly Inverness competition in aid of the two local charities.

Billy said: “Please come and join us for our Back to Blue night as we dance the night away.

“It’s set to be an epic night with DJ Scott Langley playing the tunes.

“Kellyann McFarlane and myself have decided to recreate the magic of Blue to raise money for Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.”

Billy is taking part in this year’s competition after losing his mum to cancer last year.

He said: “In July 2024 I lost the most amazing woman in my life. My mum. After battling 10 different types of cancer for 12 years my mum lost her final battle.

“She spent some time in the Highland Hospice and we as a family found the whole experience amazingly supportive at the worst time of our lives. I would love to honour my mum by contributing to such an amazing charity.”

Community relationship officer, Kellyann added: “I want to raise funds for the Highland Hospice as they support and care for so many families in their time of need.”

If you want to support Billy and Kellyann and go along to the Back to Blue night then tickets can be purchased here.

The event starts at 9pm and tickets cost £15.
