Inverness Outlanders announce death of 'brave' member who compered Diana Gabaldon event at Eden Court Theatre
The death of a well-known member of Inverness Outlanders has been announced.
Caroline Keith was among the fans of the international best-selling Outlander series of books by Diana Gabaldon which were also adapted for TV.
Her death, announced by the group on social media, comes just two months after she took a leading role in an event with the author at Eden Court Theatre.
The post stated: "We are very sad to announce that the Inverness Outlanders have lost not only an admin and member of our group but a very good friend, Caroline Keith.
"A lot of you will recognise Caroline as the face of Inverness Outlanders, as she presented our Inverness Outlanders Lives on YouTube and was also the compere introducing our extremely successful An Audience with Diana Gabaldon only two months ago.
"Even at the last stages of her illness she took to the stage of Eden Court with ease even having to ask for a seat as her legs got weak didn't phase her. She was amazing, brave and as strong as they come."

The post continued: "Not only are we going to miss a great friend, the world is going to to miss someone who gave up so much of her time to help others and share with them all her knowledge and stories and just for the pleasure of helping others.
"We miss Caroline so much, even writing this post we feel we can't do her justice, Caroline was always the one with the magic touch with words.
"The Inverness Outlanders would have not done half the things we have done if it had not been for Caroline's help and enthusiasm.
"We can never thank you enough and you will always be remembered as you grabbed life by the horns and lived your best life.
"Rest In Peace."
