Sentence was again deferred on a 23-year-old Ardersier man who possessed graphic indecent videos and images of children being abused.

Liam Arnold, of Station Drive, was due to be dealt with at Inverness Sheriff Court.

But a background report was not available and Sheriff Robert Frazer deferred sentence again until October 21 for one to be prepared.

At a previous hearing, the court was told that police found hundreds of graphic indecent videos of children being abused after the raid on Arnold’s home on December 16, 2019.

Officers recovered electronic devices and storage media from the property. Subsequent analysis revealed 432 videos, 294 of which were in the highest category of depravity.

A total of 1622 still images were also found.

Arnold admitted possession of the child pornography and he was immediately placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
