Inverness residents show their appreciation of NHS frontline staff with weekly clap for carers during coronavirus pandemic

People in Inverness and the rest of the Highlands showed their appreciation of the NHS last night in what has become a weekly event during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Clap for Carers took place at 8pm last night and, as well as the round of applause, a number of traditional Scottish musicians were also set to take part.

Residents in Old Perth Road left their homes to join in and the Loch Ness Country House Hotel was also bathed in blue light as a mark of respect.
