A 47 year old Nairn man who struggled with an Inverness shop worker will be sentenced next month.

Colin Kerr of Albyn Court, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted assaulting the member of staff at the former newsagent's shop in Farraline Park, Inverness on August 2, 2023.

Sheriff Gary Aitken was told Kerr pushed him on the body, engaged in a struggle and made a racist remark.

The sheriff deferred sentence for the production of a background report until May 23.
