Inverness travel company on the hunt for new premises after devastating fire at Fairways Business Park

A business that had its premises damaged in a “devastating” fire over the weekend is on the hunt for a new unit.

SJ Travel Centre was one of the businesses hit by a fire at Fairways Business Park in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A masked fire-raiser is being hunted by police after deliberately ramming a car into a building and torching the vehicle - causing a huge blaze that destroyed numerous shops.

SJ Travel has today posted an update to say that they are hoping to get a new place up a running as soon as possible.

The Facebook post said: “We want to reassure all our customers that no holidays have been affected by the fire, as all our booking information is securely stored in the cloud.

“Phone Lines – All calls have been diverted to our sister company, Spirit Journeys Worldwide, who are kindly assisting us. Response times may be slightly longer than usual, so we truly appreciate your patience.

“Upcoming Holidays—If you are due to travel within the next few weeks, we will contact you shortly regarding your tickets. Whether via email or a convenient collection point, we will ensure you have everything you need.

“Please do not worry—your holidays remain our top priority over the next couple of days, and we are working hard to ensure everything runs smoothly.

“Thank you for your support, kindness, and understanding—it means the world to us!”

We will be keeping you updated throughout the day on the latest fallout from the fire.
