This year’s series of events began in July, and the tented venue on Eden Court’s lawn has presented performances by over 135 artists so far.

Demand for tickets has led to extra seating and standing space being created for the final weeks.

Eden Court say that folk and trad fans can look forward to supergroup Staran, “creative powerhouse” Mike Vass, multi-instrumentalist Malin Lewis, and an eclectic mix of groups including TARRAN, Rain of Animals and The Canny Band.

Local musicians Brian Ó hEadhra and Fionnag NicChoinnich will perform to a home crowd, whilst Low Light Listening Lounge, who have been making waves on the Glasgow indie rock scene, will hit the stage.

Resident DJs Karawane and international guest artists will keep the heart of the party going until the final week. The Final Hoolie – featuring Skye siblings Duo Chaimbeul and electric neo-trad artists Valtos – has only a few tickets remaining.

Under Canvas runs from Wednesday to Sunday with two sessions a day, and the final event on Saturday, August 26. Tickets are Pay What You Can and the series has provided paid employment for over 170 artists from the Highlands and beyond.

Susannah Armitage, Eden Court’s senior producer, said: “It’s been brilliant to see audiences turn up in such great numbers – whether a full tent supporting emerging artists from the Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail, local band Cala, or overseas talent like Julian Taylor from Canada or Blood Harmony from Iceland – or dancing to Karawane. It was especially joyous to see so many children and families (over 1000!) enjoying our free family fun day.”
