Jobs fair in Inverness aims to supply workers

A JOBS fair will be staged in Inverness music venue the Ironworks on Thursday.

Job seekers should be ready to start work and should also bring their CV with them on the day.

Businesses and employers attending the event – which runs from 10am-noon – will include TK Maxx, Dobbies Garden Centre, Premier Inn, Debenhams, Tesco, the Army, Highland Council, Newcross Healthcare, Skills Development Scotland and the Department for Works and Pensions.

Depute council leader Alasdair Christie said: “The Highland Council is supporting this important event being organised by the Department of Work and Pensions, Jobcentre staff in Inverness.

“The event is being held in response to current demand for staff from local employers.

“Anyone looking for employment is recommended to attend the Ironworks and see if there are any jobs that suit their skills.”
