Inverness long-distance cyclist Alasdair Fraser has landed in the UK ahead of the last leg of his 1000 mile trip between Gdansk and The Gellions pub in aid of Ukraine
An Inverness long-distance cyclist has finally reached the UK.
Alasdair Fraser is hoping to cycle the 1000-mile route between Gdansk in Poland and The Gellions pub in Inverness in aid of the Ukrainian appeal.
He landed in the north east of England this morning and was heading north by train ahead of the final stage of his journey by bike in Scotland.
His original fundraising was £3000 and he has passed that – to make a donation visit Just Giving.
He is hoping to reach Inverness by Sunday afternoon after setting off from Aviemore earlier that day.
The distance he covered between Gdansk and the Port of Amsterdam was 862 miles and he was hoping to do a total of 1000 miles leaving him a remaining 138 miles to cover in Scotland.
